AREA HOUSING OFFICER

You and other tenants in your area have a Housing Officer who is responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Signing up new tenants;
  • Answering enquiries about rents;
  • Following up on missing payments (arrears);
  • Helping to sort out neighbour problems;
  • Encourage and promote tenant involvement;
  • Giving advice on claims for housing benefit and supporting people payments; Advising tenants on what to do if they want to move;
  • Advising tenants on their rights and responsibilities.
     

BUILDINGS SUPERVISOR

Your Buildings Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the general appearance and upkeep of the building;
  • Maintaining external grounds;
  • Ensuring all public and communal areas are clean;
  • Lifts are maintained in a clean and safe condition;
  • Advising and assisting with cyclical and planned maintenance;
  • Monitoring, testing and reporting on fire safety equipment.

SERVICES CENTRE CALL ADVISOR 

The SHAC Services Centre is a vital central contact point for its tenants and customers. Since its launch in 2011 it has developed its range of services significantly to meet the changing needs of its customer base. Your Services Centre Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Answering all calls courteously and within time targets;
  • Providing a high standard of customer care;
  • Keeping callers regularly updated ;
  • Receiving, acknowledging and resolving, where appropriate, telephone and written enquiries;
  • Complying with security, data protection and confidentiality policies;
  • Receiving and prioritise all repair notifications;
  • Conducting customer satisfaction surveys when required.
